Andy Perkins
Andy comes from a background of exploratory mountaineering, always wanting to see what’s over the next horizon. From early days of scrambling in the UK’s Lake District, through rock climbing and winter climbing throughout Britain and Europe, he's always been attracted to and rewarded by going to new places. He transfers that same philosophy to his guiding work, and trys to get as much variety and contrast as possible.
Andy is an extremely experienced rock, ice, alpine and Himalayan climber with some notable first ascents in all fields and also lists Patagonia and Arctic Norway among his expedition destinations.
Andy is a man of contrasts who excels one the one hand organising great ski safaris offering novice ski tourers that first taste of touring, but where the evening hostelry is just as important, on the other had, he is equally comfortable organising a big wall climb in some of the remoter parts of the world.
With over 20 years of skiing and mountaineering, Andy gets huge satisfaction from passing that experience on to others.
